Kids' birthday styling — Lindfield Community Centre
Colourful Kids’ Birthday Party at Lindfield Community Centre
A colourful children’s fourth birthday setup built around a bright dopamine palette, a welcoming entrance, a statement balloon backdrop and outdoor spaces made for play and eating.
Occasion
Children’s fourth birthday
Location
Lindfield Community Centre
Colour palette
Blue, lime, yellow, orange, pink and purple
01 — Main backdrop
A bright focal point for the celebration
The main backdrop used layered balloon clusters, playful twisting and a large number four to create a strong focal point inside the community centre.
Design directionThe brief called for colour, energy and a setup that felt welcoming for children while still giving the room a clear visual centre.
02 — Layered colour
Colour that carries through every detail
Bright blue, lime, yellow, orange, pink and purple were balanced across the backdrop so the styling felt full and joyful without relying on a single colour.
The layered finish also gave the display depth in photographs, from the larger balloons down to the smaller clusters around the base.
03 — Party focal point
A backdrop made for the room and the photos
The arrangement was planned to read clearly from the front while leaving enough space around the display for children and guests to move through the room.
04 — Welcome moment
The first detail guests see
The welcome sign and helium balloons created a clear arrival point and helped connect the entry area to the larger birthday setup inside.
05 — Play and eating zones
A layout made for movement
Outside, the dining tables, helium balloons and play area worked as one connected party zone. The styling stayed colourful while leaving practical paths between the tables and activities.
06 — Table styling
Small details complete the party tables
Table centrepieces and helium balloons brought the same sense of movement to the eating area, making the practical setup feel part of the celebration rather than separate from it.
07 — The finished party zone
One palette across three connected areas
From the welcome sign to the backdrop and the outdoor tables, the finished setup gave the party a consistent visual language across the community centre’s different spaces.
