A Traditional Chinese First Birthday at Ocean Treasure Asian Dining
A layered 周岁宴 setup combining a large custom backdrop with traditional zhuazhou details, a 聪明门 activity and a bespoke balloon lion dance figure.

Main backdrop
A strong central board anchors the private room
The main backdrop does the visual heavy lifting, with layered red shapes, floral artwork and pearl-like details. Balloon clusters at the upper corners soften the board and make the installation feel dimensional from the dining area.

Custom character detail
A small lion makes the traditional palette feel lively
The client commissioned a compact balloon lion dance figure to sit within the display. Its red, gold, white and teal details contrast with the backdrop and make the traditional styling feel more animated and approachable.

Traditional details
Props turn the backdrop into an experience
Rather than relying on balloons alone, the installation uses scrollwork, fans, flowers, woven textures and auspicious red details. Together they create a display that feels made for a family ritual, not just a photo wall.

Zhuazhou and activity styling
A display that supports the celebration itself
The zhuazhou mat, traditional objects and 聪明门 were arranged as part of the celebration rather than treated as separate props. This keeps the photographic backdrop connected to the family’s first-birthday ritual.

Layered composition
Warm materials keep the room feeling intimate
Red and copper balloons are balanced by woven baskets, wood furniture and floral textures. The result is rich and festive while still suited to a private dining room.

Photographic details
Every layer gives the camera another story
From the lion’s face to the handwritten-style Chinese lettering and the zhuazhou objects, the styling is intentionally detailed so both wide room photos and close portraits have something to discover.

Room-wide styling
From the photo wall to the banquet tables
Repeated red accents, lanterns and table details connect the display to the wider room. This makes the backdrop feel like part of the celebration’s atmosphere rather than an isolated installation.

Public-ready gallery
A first-birthday setup with movement and meaning
The published gallery keeps the backdrop, traditional props, 聪明门 and custom lion visible as the key story. One image containing the child’s portrait has been privacy-edited to mask the face and personal name while preserving the surrounding décor.
