A Blue and Lilac Proposal Setup at Ovolo Sydney
For a hotel-room proposal at Ovolo Sydney in Woolloomooloo, Happy Balloons created a layered blue and lilac setup with a balloon heart, large LED LOVE letters, artificial flowers, butterfly-shaped lights, helium balloons and a heart made from candle-style lights.
The design was planned as a complete room experience, with a softly lit path leading into the main proposal feature and details arranged around the room rather than in one isolated display.
The room journey
A soft, glowing path into the proposal setting
The room was styled from the approach inward. White fabric, blue and lilac balloons, faux flowers and small butterfly-shaped lights guide the eye towards the main LOVE installation while keeping the hotel-room setting open and welcoming.

Room-wide composition
The balloon heart and illuminated LOVE letters become the focal point, while the surrounding flowers and floor-level balloons carry the colour through the room.

Layered atmosphere
Helium balloons add height above the room, with the lower styling creating a gentle transition from the entrance to the main feature.

Light as a wayfinding detail
Butterfly-shaped lights act as a small illuminated detail beside the flowers and message balloons, giving the room a warm visual rhythm.
The central message
LOVE framed in blue, lilac and light
The main feature combines a large blue balloon heart with illuminated LOVE letters and a flower-filled centre. Around it, candle-style lights outline a heart shape on the floor, adding a second layer of glow and depth to the room.

Main focal point
The balloon heart gives the LED LOVE letters a soft, dimensional backdrop.

Heart detail
Artificial petals and candle-style lights create a clear heart motif below the illuminated message.

Message and texture
The bouquet, petals, balloons and light points make the central feature readable from different angles.
Details around the room
Flowers, balloons and small points of light
The supporting elements keep the decoration feeling personal and complete: faux-flower arrangements, a red rose bouquet, reflective balloons and the warm butterfly lights all sit within the same blue-and-lilac direction.

One colour direction, many layers
The blue and lilac palette appears in the balloon heart, helium balloons, floor clusters and floral styling. This keeps the room cohesive while allowing the illuminated letters and heart lights to remain the visual anchors.

Romantic accent
A red rose bouquet adds a strong colour contrast beside the cool-toned balloon and light details.

Floral layering
Faux flowers soften the hard edges of the illuminated letters and connect them to the rest of the room.

Complete feature
The finished composition brings the message, flowers, balloons and heart lights together as one room-scale installation.
