A Custom Number Set Inspired by Teddy's Birthday Cake
For Teddy's birthday, Happy Balloons transformed details from a reference cake into a custom number 7 balloon set with a duck, Nice Cube, bun and butter, paired with helium balloons from the Party Express range.
The client shared a photo of her son's birthday cake and asked us to turn its playful details into a personalised balloon number set. The final design combined a custom number 7 with helium balloons for a complete party setup.

The inspiration: one cake, four special details
The client wanted the balloon design to follow her son's cake rather than use a standard number set. She specifically asked for the playful details that made the cake personal to Teddy: a duck, a Nice Cube, a bun and a block of butter.
The cake photo gave us a clear visual direction for the colour palette, shapes and overall mood. It also helped us understand which small details needed to be visible in the finished balloon design.

Design translation
Translating the cake into balloons
We built a custom number 7 in black, then layered it with purple, lime, orange, yellow and white balloon details to echo the cake's bright, playful style. Teddy's name was added to the number, while the themed elements were recreated as balloon sculptures and custom details around the base.
The result was not a standard number arrangement. It was designed around the specific reference the client supplied, so the finished set included the characters and food-inspired details she had requested.

A complete Number Set + Helium Party Express
To finish the party setup, the customised number set was paired with a helium balloon arrangement in coordinating bright colours. This created a fuller display while keeping the number 7 and the themed details as the main focus.
By starting with the cake, we were able to create a number set that felt genuinely personal rather than generic. A customer-provided cake, invitation or character reference can become the starting point for a custom Happy Balloons design.
