Balloon Colours and Printing Colour

The balloon colours and printing colour must be confirmed with us by email before production begins. Balloon colour availability may vary.

For the clearest and most visible printing result, we generally recommend:

  • Light-coloured balloons with dark-coloured printing
  • Dark-coloured balloons with light-coloured printing

A strong contrast between the balloon colour and ink colour helps the logo, wording or artwork stand out more clearly.

You may choose a mixture of balloon colours within the same order, subject to availability. However, the same single ink colour must be used across the complete print run of 100 balloons.

One-Colour Printing

This product includes one approved artwork design printed in one ink colour.

If your logo contains multiple colours, gradients or detailed elements, it may need to be converted into a simplified one-colour version before printing. Please send us the artwork first so we can confirm whether it is suitable.

Artwork Requirements

Please email your logo, wording or artwork to info@happyballoons.com.au before placing or finalising your order.

Simple, clear and high-contrast artwork normally produces the best result on latex balloons. The following designs may not be suitable:

  • Photographs
  • Colour gradients
  • Very fine lines
  • Small or complicated details
  • Complex multicolour artwork

We will review your artwork and confirm whether it can be printed before production begins.

Production Time

Please order at least 7 days in advance.

Production can only begin after all of the following details have been confirmed:

  • Approved artwork or wording
  • Balloon colour or colour combination
  • One printing ink colour
  • Required collection or delivery date
  • Pickup or delivery arrangements

For large corporate events, busy periods or orders with a fixed venue access time, we recommend contacting us as early as possible. Production availability must be confirmed before ordering.

Ribbon and Balloon Weights

Every helium balloon includes an attached ribbon.

Balloon weights are not included in the package price.

We usually recommend arranging approximately 10 helium balloons on one balloon weight. Balloon weights are available for $3 + GST each.

  • 1 balloon weight for approximately 10 balloons: $3 + GST
  • 10 balloon weights for 100 balloons: $30 + GST

If all 100 balloons are arranged into groups of 10, the total package price would be:

$500 + GST for the balloons
Plus $30 + GST for 10 balloon weights

The balloons may also be arranged into different bunch sizes depending on your event, venue and display requirements. Please confirm the preferred grouping with us before collection or delivery.

Please note: If balloon weights are not ordered, the helium balloons must be held, secured by the customer or transported together inside balloon transport bags.

Pickup and Delivery

Pickup is available from Happy Balloons® in Chatswood.

One hundred inflated helium balloons take up a large amount of space. Please make sure your vehicle has enough room before choosing pickup. A van or similarly spacious vehicle may be required depending on how the balloons are grouped.

Sydney delivery may be available for an additional charge. Delivery fees depend on:

  • Delivery address
  • Required delivery date and time
  • Venue access and parking conditions
  • How the balloons are grouped
  • Our delivery schedule and availability

Helium Balloon Care

Latex helium balloons are treated with Hi-Float to help extend their floating time. Actual floating time may vary depending on temperature, weather, handling and the event environment.

For the best result:

  • Keep the balloons indoors in a stable temperature where possible
  • Avoid direct sunlight, heaters and hot vehicles
  • Keep balloons away from rough ceilings, sharp surfaces and strong wind
  • Remove the balloons from the plastic transport bags immediately after receiving them
  • Do not leave helium balloons sealed inside transport bags, particularly inside a vehicle

The plastic bags used for pickup or delivery are intended only for transporting the balloons. Please reuse or recycle them where possible.

  3. Select one ink colour for the complete print run.
  4. Confirm whether you require pickup or delivery.
  5. Confirm whether you would like the balloons loose with ribbons or grouped onto balloon weights.
  6. Wait for us to confirm artwork suitability and production availability.
  7. Place your order after all printing and collection or delivery details have been confirmed.

How far in advance should I order?

Please allow at least seven days after all artwork, balloon colours, ink colour and order details have been confirmed.

🎈 Helium Balloon Longevity & Appearance

All latex helium balloons supplied by us are treated with a professional longevity solution. This helps slow helium loss, but does not stop it entirely, and gradual changes over time are expected.

Over time, latex balloons will naturally soften and reduce in lift as helium gradually escapes.

This change is normal and foreseeable, and does not indicate a defect or quality issue.

Clear Bubble (Bubble) Balloons & Vinyl Lettering

Clear bubble balloons may gradually contract over 24–48 hours. For best visual results, clear bubble balloons with vinyl lettering are recommended for events where they will be enjoyed within the first 24 hours.

As the balloon surface reduces in size, externally applied vinyl lettering may lift or wrinkle, even without handling or movement.

This is a known characteristic of helium-filled clear balloons and applied vinyl materials.

For events requiring longer-term appearance stability, foil balloons or alternative display options are recommended.

SAFTY & BALLOON CARE NOTICE

Warning: Balloons are not toys. Uninflated or burst balloons pose a serious choking or suffocation risk for children. Adult supervision is required at all times. Please keep uninflated balloons out of reach of children, and dispose of any ruptured balloons immediately. Proper disposal of both foil and latex balloons is essential. Note that latex balloons are made from 100% natural rubber latex, which may trigger allergic reactions in some individuals.

Balloon Care & Performance Information: Latex helium balloons are treated to extend float time and are intended for short-term decorative use.

Even with treatment, changes in firmness, lift and appearance over 24–48 hours are expected.

Clear balloons with vinyl lettering are designed for short-term display.

Balloon contraction over time may affect the appearance of applied vinyl.

These characteristics are considered normal for helium-filled balloons and are not product faults under normal use.

Environmental Care: Always ensure helium-filled balloons are securely tied to a weight to prevent accidental release into the air. Foil balloons are conductive and can pose electrical hazards.
