Check sunlight and nearby heat sources
Avoid placing balloons in direct sunlight or beside a window with strong sun exposure. Also keep them away from heaters, ovens, fireplaces and other strong heat sources.
Look at the room over the period when the balloons will be there. Light and warmth can shift across a room, so the first open space you see may not remain suitable. Move the display to a more stable indoor position when needed.
Inspect ceilings, walls and surrounding surfaces
Fresh helium balloons have strong upward force when they are newly inflated. If they rise directly to a rough, textured or sharp ceiling, contact with the surface may damage or pop them.
Check the ceiling before allowing helium balloons to float freely. If the surface is uncertain, keep the balloons tied down or use another display position. Rough walls, furniture edges and nearby sharp objects also need to be considered.
